Experience a transformative journey into the soul of Indian heritage as the Bharatiya Samagana Sabha presents its 17th Annual Classical Indian Music Festival 2026. This year’s theme, Purana Gitam, celebrates the sacred Puranas - the very bridge between ancient Vedic wisdom and the vibrant path of Bhakti (devotion).

In the hallowed halls of Bengaluru’s Chowdiah Memorial Hall, the Supreme Reality manifests as Nada Brahma - the Divine through sound. Purana Gitam is more than a concert series; it is a four-day spiritual immersion where the Puranic scriptures are not merely told, but vibrantly experienced through the ragas and compositions of our saint-musicians.

The Festival Highlights

A Musical Odyssey: From February 5th to 8th, world-renowned artistes will interpret assigned Puranas, weaving themes of deity lore, sacred pilgrimages, and ethical wisdom into their performances.

  • Honoring the Legends: On February 7th, the prestigious 14th Samagana Mathanga National Award will be conferred upon the legendary Violin Maestros, Vidwans Ganesh and Kumaresh.
  • Nurturing the Future: Witness history with the inaugural Samagana Vasantha Award, presented to the rising star of Carnatic music, Vidushi Spoorthi Rao.

"When we sing or play a Raga, we are not merely performing a set of notes; we are unfolding a part of the Divine."

Join us at Purana Gitam to witness the 'Sound-Form' of the Almighty and celebrate the timeless vibration of our scriptures.
